Charlotte Douglas Airport Overlook
Although Charlotte Douglas International Airport doesn’t have the best variety of airlines compared to other hubs, it has one of the best spotting locations in the United States. (thirtythousand.wordpress.com) 기타...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I miss the days where I could take the "L" Blue line to ORD, and hang out at gate K-19 all day. Now you actually have to *fly* somewhere to go in a terminal anymore.
I used to find that airports could be nicer places to hang out when I *wasn't* trying to get somewhere. There was no rush, no stress, just people and airplanes to watch...
I was stuck in and around O'Hare for three days a few years ago (blizzard hit Denver, flights got canceled, United forgot I existed), and I never did manage to explore all of the places I could visit once I'd gone through security. It would have been a lot more fun if I hadn't been wondering how I was going to go home.

The resteraunt at PDK is pretty cool too. Tons of BizJets coming and going. Sit outside right in front of the taxiway.
You used to be able to park on the industrial park road next to the runway at KPVD. They put up signs in 2006 threatening fines to anyone who stops. It's kind of pathetic as there would often be 30 cars or so park along the fence. Now I spot from the top of the Terminal B garage at Logan Airport.
get a bbq sandwich or fried chicken dipped in bbq sauce from BBQ King on Wilkinson blvd and sit back and watch the airliners leaving the gate to airborne, great lunch.
I've seen the place but never tried them. Will do next time I'm in town.
Hey I'll have to try them out sometime... thanks for the idea! :-)
