I know the freight dogs are gonna be mildly impressed. Looks like a winner.
captwright
Man that thing is ugly.
jromf
Isn’t this a degradation in technology from jet engines back to propellers? I’m not trying to be argumentative; I truly don’t understand.

"TwOtter 2020"

My two cents.
RickThomas
Well at least it's a high wing with wing struts

We'll stay with the four DHC-6's that we have - 1966, 1976, 1987 & 2015
gilgraham
Too bad they didn't use Garretts.

I guess the patent on the 'Otter' expired.
jmilleratp
The Twin Otter is still being manufactured, now by Viking Air.
RobertCrum
I hope it handles cold weather better than an ATR.

It doesn't even look like a Cessna. What were they thinking?
FrankHarvey
They might have been thinking "Hey there's a design that works, lets copy it"..... maybe next up a double-deck Cessna "380" with four fans.
DrayHines
Looks like a work horse. Bravo
Propwash122
Yes, a work horse: form follows function, can carry three LD3 containers. FedEx is the launch customer, ordered 50, optioned 50 more. Guess they need something bigger than their Cessna Caravans.
blakerl
When was the last time Cessna built a twin prop?
rudealinska
Congratulations. Looks like a winner and a pilots airplane.
EtienneDaniels
Looks more like GAP NOMAD or Dornier DO 228, could be a useful aircraft for the African and Asian market.
FrankHarvey
I wonder how much drag those struts add.
planeman33
I saw a photo head on and I immediatly thought Shorts.
ianmcdonell
More like a Twin Otter
andyc852
Agree. Looks like faster than the venerable Twotter. What a legacy to follow!

There we go.. slap a delta or United logo on her and ya nice slow and liw cost flying.

To me, it looks like a cross between a Shorts and an ATR
FrankHarvey
Or a twin engined Trislander.
andyc852
That would be an Islander!

Winnah.

Anyone else want to see it on floats or skis?
FrankHarvey
Will the floats will be mounted close together on the fuselage, meaning you'll need largish wing tip floats, adding drag, or will they be on substantial pylons and bracing which would also add a lot of drag ? I wonder if either float configuration will make it a fuel hog.
