Personally, that is what the pointey end crew is on their game for, or at least had better be. Contrary to how high & mighty the pax might feel about themselves, that flight crew wants to make sure they get down OK as well, as generally, they will be the first to arrive at the scene of a crash. I'm pretty sure that TOGA came to mind.
At least we have never been knocked off our axes, at least not me, how about you?
