Well, Tom Sawyer painted his project white. A simple paint scheme that was probably the lowest cost option. Budgets for decorations should be low at this phase of the current business cycle. One point made is that "some will only need a name change". That refers to the CO fleet, I would think. Yes, the last United scheme was very pleasing, but would have probably cost a lot more for the combined fleet. Has anyone done a study on which planes stay and which are dropped from the fleet? I would bet that there are more ex-CO and less ex-UA, hence requiring fewer total repaints.

Heck with all that I thought that the overhead compartment worked just fione as a child restraint

Wow, from the look of the CO livery with just the UA Brand Identity, looks like CO is the merg-er and UA the merg-ee instead of the other way around. Looks like the livery was definitely a trade-off for cost savings since basically all they had to do is slap on the UNITED name on the CO livery.

At least the last vestiges of the old Steven Wolf livery is finally going away.

Unfortunately, Wolf's Airbuses are still part of the fleet. I wonder how much he pocketed out of that deal?
