Bio:Over the past decade, Matt Pilla has served as one of Microsoft's lead public relations influences, particularly as it pertains to managing international PR activities, launching key products including multiple versions of Windows, managing key legal issues including patent, privacy and international policy, and managing Microsoft's subsidiary PR's work with the corporate HQ. Matt has also served extensively in state government as the public information officer to the senate GOP leadership, and as communications director of the state Republican party. Matt continues to apply his diverse skills in international affairs, public relations, partner relations and politics. He recently became a staff writer for FlightAware, based in Houston, Texas - giving him an opportunity to pursue his roots in the aviation industry and to rekindle his passion for flying as a private pilot and global travel while focusing on the technology aspects of future flight and space exploration.
