greg..really?take the article for what it is worth...an informative, semi light hearted piece of writing..rest assured the person who composed the article actually did give it some thought and probably writes pieces such as this all the time..remember..NO ONE IS PERFECT,and even those who write or compose or whatever, take license ...

my goodness patrick baker...you are already "dissing" a carrier that has not yet begun service..your comparison to wn as a "startup" carrier is not logical, nor really comparable, because that was in the 1970's,with a totally different economy, tpe of person flying and service offered, and they have "morphed" through the years from the little regional to a mega company with all of the problems the others have..the routes this "newbie"company will be flying are not ones that would require a lot of "inflight service" because they are short hauls, and as far a "fashion for the stews",that ship sailed a long time ago and even the major carriers only redo existing uniforms about every 10 years or so..rest assured cabin crews prefer easy to wash and wear and move in outfits, and NOT pantsuits from paris!the airlines long ago began a transition from "personal" service and "percs",to a basic get on and off quickly, get to the gate on time and leave on time cattle car, because the type of person trav

there was a movie a few years back starring tom hanks, called "the terminal"...it was exactly the same premise..a man stuck at the airport ,no place to go,no money, and on and on..sleeping in chairs, washing up in the restroom, who actually received help from various employees at the airport with food and the like..it of course had a happy ending...

if you have employees out sick, or on a furlough status due to flight cutbacks,it takes a while to get the machinery running again..regardless of deltas airlines stance on voter rights in georgia, they had many flights NOT operating due to covid and the cutback in passenger travel as it is,so a one day issue is not something unexpected...

this is a goo news/bad nesw scnario...good that air traffic has been picking up and that new pilots are needed...bad in that so many still are not vacccinated, there are new strains of the virus popping up, and airline jobs do not have the stability, despite training, that they once had..seniority doesnt mean much if the airlines are forced to stay at limited schedules because the virus becomes resilient to vaccines..

i think this is not such a great idea..there is too much room for misuse and i might add, a lot of people who dont understand using apps in this way..

well..good for ual...they have announced getting mass vaccinations for the virus, specifically for their employees,as has american airlines..people are beginning to travel a little more, but with caution and precaution..the ones who dont seem to care are still the teens and college age folks who feel they are immortal and will never get sick or die..the older folks, who generate a lot leisure travel, are still going "slowly" as far as vacation and travel plans by airplane...!

the virus is an airborne one,,if a person who had not been vaccinated is carrying it,all he or she has to do is breathe on someone else closeby, cough or sneeze, and so many are NOT wearing masks because their governor or whomever said it wasnt necessary..by the way, there are 4 new strains of that virus now in the u.s. and they are much more contagious and deadly..good luck sowthwest..is southwest going to get mass vaccinations for its employees as ual and american have announced???
