Airbus A320 (N763JB) - At ten minutes before straight-up midnight, JBUs N763JB ("Whats Old Is Blue Again"), the A320 recently repainted in the "New York International" special heritage livery scheme, is seen here at Reno Tahoe Internationals Gate B6 just before being pushed back for the return leg of a KJFK-KRNO-KJFK roundtrip run. Last nights visit was the first time that jetBlues retro scheme has been to Reno since the new paint was unveiled a few weeks ago. It was well worth making the 40 minute late evening drive to go to KRNO right after watching Sunday Night football in order to get some captures of this outstanding new livery.

Last night's visit was the first time that jetBlue's retro scheme has been to Reno since the new paint was unveiled a few weeks ago. It was well worth making the 40 minute late evening drive to go to KRNO right after watching Sunday Night football in order to get some captures of this outstanding new livery.

N763JB was one of a trio of JBU fleetbirds on the KRNO ramp at this late hour. In the background of this shot is N789JB ("What's Blue and White and Flies All Over") at Gate B8. Not visible in this shot because I am standing directly behind it to shoot this photo is N517JB ("Blue Moon") at Gate B4.

Hiya, Cliff. Hey, TYVM for the comment and vote (and I hope you had a superb Thanksgiving holiday).
I would not have missed getting clicks of this one for anything. I was watching the KC - Denver SNF game when I received a long-distance call notifying me that this special paint would be coming here from JFK. I had to bundle up some extra outerwear because the temp was below freezing and there was a hefty wind blowing out of the Sierra Nevada but when an opportunity comes along there is no option but to grab a hot cup of coffee and prepare to miss a little sleep. I was able to watch the overtime excitement of the game before I had to hit the road to Reno. I arrived in time to catch it landing, and then I checked in past TSA and got a ton of close-up snaps from on the ramp. Didn't get back home until 1:30 AM but as I said, it was well worth the effort. I'll email a couple more clicks of this one and of the three fleetbirds together to you. (Wave)

Gary, you're welcome and thank you for the kind words. Your dedication to aircraft photography and spotting is outstanding. Heading out into the late night with freezing temps about and giving up sleep in a warm bed for that photo capture speaks volumes!!!
