75th Anniversary of the DC-3
Seventy-five years ago the DC-3 ushered in the era of utility flight, one that continues to this day. Oh sure, the DC-3 may not top a lot of people's list of their favorite planes. It's not sleek. Last evening I was recalling to my niece our travels from Logan to Barre Vermont in the DC-3's. We were privileged as children to fly that route many times. I wish I could still...thanks for the pictures and the article.
A DC-3 with its familiar sound flies over my house twice a day on it's Miami - Bahamas cargo runs.
