this statement is silly, stupid, and necessary only if Lufthansas and other carriers somehow cause the reduction in baggage thefts, which are rising as we speak. I would place an apple air tag in my checked baggage no matter what they say. Those apple air tags could reduce the number of baggage thefts, therby reducing the claims airlines have to pay for lost or stolen bvags. What is Lufthansas thinking here?
